I will have taste of Ubuntu 10.04. here are some material to chew before hand on
On one of laptop, HP 6710b, the hard disk has many bad sector. I purchased a 320 GB SATA disk to replaced it. Only Saturday morning, I installed a ubuntn 10.04. It looked ok. very simple to use. However, although It is easy and simple to use, it is hard to find way to fix some problem if there is one. I found it is not easy to configure firewall, various services, at least, not as easy as fedora. The resolution of screen on this laptop was set low. I can’t find way to upgrade to it max. Finally, we decided to re-install Fedora 13. As we have used to it for years. All works well. the resolution problem has not been fixed. Fedora is still shining for me. A sad good bye to Ubuntn!!
