SSH (to/from) Andriod amartphone (Samsung Galaxy Tab)

One the web site for Andriod powered Samsung Galaxy tab, it shows off a lot of apps, multimedia, games etc. Internet connection is the one on top of my menu. Of course, internet access via web, email are very simple and easy. I want access other server via ssh, telnet, or ftp. Quite nice apps for them are available  too.

 

 

 

 

To login into other server from android phone

ssh client: connectbot, use this to access other server from your smartphone. On the other hand , you can access your Sansung Galaxy tab from other desktop via ssh, here is a tutorial on “Connect and login to your Android with SSH

To login into your android phone

you need

rooted phone

SSHDroid/SSHDroidPro  sshd or ssh server on android device

start SSHDroid on your phone (eg 192.168.1.7), it shows what is the ip address

at a terminal of your other PC, ssh -l root 192.168.1.7

for rooted phone the default password is admin

A few other tools:

Touch PTTT Telnet/SSH clients

BotSync synchronization client using SSH SFTP

Enough to ssh to to be ssh-ed for your android phone
